This map is developed with the archipelago around Haparanda in focus. It covers the Haparanda Archipelago National Park and the entire area between Rånön in the west and Kemi in Finland. In our Lake and coastal maps, we do the same thorough work with hiking trails as in our terrain maps, but the selection of sections is adapted to the archipelagos and larger water systems. We also try to supplement with information that is important to paddlers in particular. It can be ground and fairways, routes for archipelago traffic and other interesting services such as grocery stores, dry toilets and saunas or canoe lifts, fresh water and campsites along popular paddling trails. We have come to the conclusion that the best material for a map is Tyvek®. It is made of a synthetic fiber that makes the map completely insensitive to water and very tear-resistant. A Tyvek map will not tear in the folds or lose color when you use it.
